Social-Emotional Learning and Neuro-Inclusive Practices for Youth Experiencing Homelessness

Scope
Delivered a series of in-person and virtual Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) sessions for students, as well as training and support for district homeless liaisons. The sessions focused on critical topics such as Self-Regulation Strategies, Zones of Regulation, Team Building, and Compassionate Communication. Additionally, led virtual and in-person sessions on self-care and trauma-informed practices for district staff.
Impact
Supported the emotional well-being of children and youth in the Regional Educational Services Commission’s Education for Homeless Children and Youth (ECHY) Program through monthly SEL sessions. Enhanced district homeless liaisons’ ability to foster empathetic and purpose-driven leadership. Strengthened trauma-informed practices and self-care strategies across the participating districts.
