Erika-Kelley

Erika Kelley, Ed.D. Candidate

Founder & Principal Consultant

Erika leads projects focused on workforce development, systems change, and neuro-inclusive organizational capacity building, including the Philadelphia Department of Commerce’s Taking Care of Business Program. With this project, she is designing workforce development frameworks and training models that support local residents, many of whom are BIPOC, returning citizens, or English Language Learners, in building career pathways and community impact. She also led the RFP and contracting process to secure a training provider and workforce navigator for the program and has designed and delivered training for the Cleaning Ambassador supervisors.

Beyond her consulting work with Sage Horizons, Erika is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Soaring Phoenix, a nonprofit supporting youth and communities through trauma-informed arts education, wellness programming, and leadership development. She also serves on the Steering Committee of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, where she supports equity and leadership pathways for arts and culture administrators of color through the NJ Arts and Culture Administrators of Color (NJACAC) Network.

Erika is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Human and Organizational Learning at George Washington University, where her research focuses on neurodiversity, workplace well-being, and inclusive systems leadership. She holds an MPA and a BA in Political Science from Rutgers University and is a CEELO Systems-Thinking Fellow at the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER).

Rosie Grant

Senior Consultant

Rosie co-leads projects focused on nonprofit and board governance, including the National Association (NASELEE) of State Leaders in Early Education, strategic planning, and board operations support. For NASLEE, she was instrumental in clarifying board roles and responsibilities and defining how they fit within the organizational ecosystem by facilitating conversations and activities with the Executive Committee, program staff, and other members. Beyond her consulting work, Rosie serves as the Executive Director of the Paterson Education Fund (PEF), where she has dedicated more than three decades to strengthening public education and fostering community engagement. She is a founding board member of Save Our Schools NJ and currently serves on the boards of the NJ Community Schools Coalition, the Gertrude Butts Memorial Association, and the Passaic County FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Program, among others. Rosie is also a sought-after strategist and facilitator who advises nonprofits, grassroots organizations, and faith-based institutions on governance and organizational growth. Known for guiding difficult conversations, advancing inclusive leadership, and aligning mission with measurable impact, she has helped numerous organizations build capacity through strategic planning, board development, and nonprofit infrastructure.
Bernai Holman

Bernai Holman, M.Ed.

Social and Emotional Learning Consultant

Bernai oversees social and emotional well-being projects at Sage Horizons, including co-leading the Essex Regional Educational Services Commission project. She provides Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) training for youth in shelters and facilitates workshops with adults. In addition to her consulting work with Sage Horizons, Bernai is a certified personal trainer, wellness coach, and breathwork specialist, who integrates movement, mindfulness, and holistic health strategies to help individuals and communities thrive in mind, body, and spirit. With 16 years of classroom teaching experience, Bernai brings a deep understanding of how social-emotional learning and wellness intersect with equity and education. She leads Mission: Mindfulness & Movement (M3) and other SEL and wellness programs in schools, workplaces, and community spaces. She is also the founder of GoStrong Fitness and the Flourish Wellness Retreat, where she creates transformative experiences that equip women and communities with tools for resilience, healing, and sustainable well-being. Bernai holds a BA in African American/Black Studies & Education from Rutgers University and an M.Ed. in Reading Teacher Education from Rowan University.
